To the Campus Community:
This afternoon, the college was notified that a second member of our faculty has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual is an instructor in the Department of Counselor Education. He was last on campus during the late afternoon/early evening of March 11 and started experiencing symptoms the following day. After some effort, he was tested on March 16 and received his results this morning.
This faculty member’s on-campus activity was limited to the Counselor Education Department suite, Room 205, and the elevator in the Education Building, and the lower level of the adjoining parking garage. His students have been notified.
The college thanks this instructor for notifying us promptly after learning his results. We ask anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 and was on campus in the preceding 14 days to please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. This will allow us to help with contact tracing and ensure that appropriate facilities are cleaned thoroughly.
Most importantly, this faculty member is said to be improving and reports experiencing mostly mild to moderate symptoms. We wish him a quick and full recovery.
