Hurricane Irene Update on 8/28/11

The eye of Hurricane Irene has moved passed Ewing Township, however a tropical storm warning is still in effect and heavy wind and rain is expected to continue into the evening.  We are advising that members of the TCNJ community residing on campus continue to stay indoors until winds subside.

The College of New Jersey is continuing to closely monitor storm conditions resulting from Hurricane Irene and assess campus conditions in the wake of the storm.  At this time, there are reports of widespread flooding throughout the state however, no campus roadways are blocked or flooded.

The campus has power and Facilities staff are on campus addressing damage that has resulted from the storm.  No significant damage appears to have been sustained to residence halls.  On campus residents should call x 2353 to report any storm damage.  Leave a message if you receive voicemail; messages are being checked routinely and staff is being dispatched accordingly.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
