A contractor working at the Campus Town construction site hit a gas main, necessitating the evacuation of surrounding campus buildings. These include: Armstrong Hall, Art & Interactive Multimedia, Bliss Hall, Business Building, Hausdoerffer Hall, Paul Loser Hall, Music Building, Phelps Halls. Please avoid parking lots 1-7.
PSE&G is on site and evaluating the situation. Minimum estimated time to repair is 90 minutes. Evacuations are at the recommendation of PSE&G.
Classes and all activities in AIMM, Bliss, Business, Armstrong, Music, Paul Loser Hall, Hausdoerffer and Phelps, and all athletic play fields are canceled until further notice.
Classes in unaffected buildings will continue as scheduled. Because the student parking lots have been affected by the evacuation, students not already on campus are being asked to not come to campus until the evacuation order is lifted.
