In my campus message last Thursday, I indicated that the college would allow employees to telecommute and adopt flex schedules during the coronavirus crisis. With sincere concern for the well-being of our employees, and in keeping with the actions of our governor, the college will now take the additional step of reducing on-campus staff to a limited number of employees.
Members of cabinet will meet today with their direct reports to formulate and communicate plans regarding on-campus schedules and work-from-home assignments. Plans will be effective beginning Tuesday, March 17, and in place through at least April 5. Because this is a constantly evolving situation, we will continue to follow the direction of public health officials and will extend this policy as necessary.
We recognize that there will be significant implications for campus operations. We will provide further guidance in the next 24 hours.
The TCNJ Board of Trustees and I thank you in advance for your support. We are so appreciative of your flexibility and dedication in working through what is clearly a challenging set of circumstances to ensure the continued operation of the college.
